Ortho K corneal reshaping lenses are specially designed reverse geometry high DK/L (oxygen permeable) contact lenses. These lenses are FDA approved and are worn at nightime only. They correct for astigmatism and myopia and allow patients to see during the day with no glasses or contact lenses. These lenses are safe, reversable and require no surgery.
Keratoconus (corneal thinning and ectasia or herniation) patients have a number of treatments available. Every Keratoconus patient is different so we have a number of treatments available including C3R (Dr. Boxer Wachler M.D.) to stabilize and strengthen the cornea, Scleral or Keratoconus lenses for good vision and centration, intacts by both Dr. Boxer Wachler M.D. and custom CK for residual astigmatism and custom corneal smoothing. We offer a very comprehensive approach to the management of Keratoconus and other abnormal corneal conditions.
